Nepal to play friendly football match with Thailand

KATHMANDU: Nepali national men’s football team is set to play a friendly match against Thailand.

According to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), the Nepali national team will compete with the Thai national team on March 24.

Nepal will also play another friendly match against local Thai club, Chonburi FC, on March 27. Both games are to be played in Chonburi, Thailand, and are taking place as part of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup Qualifier-2023 to be held in Kuwait.

Nepal lies in Group A along with Jordan, Kuwait and Indonesia. In the first match of the group selection, Nepal will compete with Jordan on June 8.

Likewise, Nepal will face Kuwait on June 11 and Indonesia on June 14 in the second and third matches respectively.

Earlier, Nepal had defeated Mauritius in two friendly matches played in Kathmandu.
