Foreign Minister Khadka leaving for Turkey today



KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka is leaving for Turkey today on a week-long visit to the country. He is leading a three-member delegation at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.

The delegation led by Minister Khadka will participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum to be held from March 11 to 13. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event will bring together politicians, diplomats and policymakers from around the world, including South Asia, to discuss existing regional and international issues and their solutions.

While in Turkey, Minister Khadka is scheduled to meet with his counterparts as well as other high-level officials.

The visit of the Foreign Minister, which is taking place in the context of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Turkey, is believed to be fruitful in deepening the bilateral relations.

The visit is also expected to contribute to the growth of bilateral trade, investment, tourism, foreign employment and people-to-people contacts.
