NC calls office bearers meeting today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the central office bearers of the Nepali Congress (NC) is being held on Tuesday afternoon.

After party President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba got busy, the meeting of the central committee officials will be held in his absence at the central office Sanepa.

In PM Deuba’s absence, Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka is holding informal discussions with party officials.

Prime Minister Deuba has called a meeting of the Central Working Committee for next Thursday.

Before that, a meeting of office bearers will be held on Tuesday to prepare for the meeting of the executive committee. Joint General Secretary Jeevan Pariyar informed that a meeting of office bearers would be held to prepare for the meeting of the executive committee to be held on Thursday. In the meeting of the executive committee, there is an agenda to discuss about the expired sister organizations and the districts that are yet to have a district convention.

Pariyar added that the meeting will discuss the strategies related to local elections.
