NAC calls for global tender to repair grounded plane



KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation has called for a global tender to hire the engine of the aircraft grounded in Qatar.

The company’s Nine N-AKW callsign A320 has been grounded in Doha, Qatar since last December.

According to the technical test report of the aircraft, the left side engine has to be replaced to make it flight-worthy, so the corporation has called for a global tender.

The corporation has also started the process of repairing the damaged engine serial number 17584 of the ship, according to a statement issued by the corporation.
