Domestic, foreign reactionaries hell-bent on eliminating Maoists: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has alleged what he said “domestic and foreign reactionaries” to eliminate the Maoist party.

“The reactionary elements are trying to figure out how to encircle and destroy the Maoist party,” said Prachanda at a program at his Khumaltar-based residence on Tuesday.

He also urged all former Maoist leaders and cadres to come together to form a strong Left party.

“I urge all former Maoists to come together,” he said.

Stating that the Maoists had split in the past due to misunderstanding, he said that those who understood the issue later have started coming back to the main party.

Prachanda also said it was important to understand that there is always a long-term strategy behind the party’s immediate strategy.

“The leadership has come up with a strategy for the greater interests of the country and the people,” he added.
