Case filed at SC against UML leader Bishnu Paudel and NC’s Yadav



KATHMANDU: A case has been filed in the Supreme Court claiming that CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bishnu Paudel was elected from Rupandehi Constituency-2 by rigging the polls.

Paudel was elected as a member of the House of Representatives with 27,165 votes.

Ganesh Paudel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party got 25,795 votes in the constituency.

Ganesh has filed a case in the SC claiming that Paudel won the election by rigging without even allowing him to go to the vote counting venue.

Similarly, Nepali Congress candidate Ramkrishna Yadav, who was elected from in Dhanusha-2, has also been alleged of rigging.

Yadav got 20,112 votes.
