COVID-19 fund established in Baitadi



BAITADI: A COVID-19 fund has been established for the first time in Baitadi.

According to Chief District Officer Suresh Panthi, a fund of Rs 500,000 will be established with a contribution of Rs. 50,000 each from all the local levels in the district.

There are 10 local levels in the district. The meeting of the Disaster Management Committee had decided to establish the COVID-19 Fund.

The decision to establish the Fund was made with the aim of bringing the Corona infected people for treatment and helping them reach their respective places.

The District Health Office has been given the responsibility of establishing the Corona Fund and managing it.

The meeting of the disaster management committee has decided that holding centers and isolation, quarantine will be built at each local level, citizens who missed the vaccination against corona will be brought under the vaccination scheme, and the list of ambulances operating in the district will be submitted to the secretariat of the district ambulance management committee as soon as possible.

Likewise, it has been decided to establish a local emergency operations center at each local level.

For that, it has been decided to proceed in coordination with the District Emergency Operations Center and Nepal Red Cross Society.

So far, 3,369 people have been confirmed positive to corona virus in Baitadi while 19 people have died.
