Tanahun sees an addition of 7054 new voters



TANAHUN: A total of 7054 new voters have been added in Tanahun district.

The new voters were added from the voters list updating campaign conducted soon after the local elections.

Head of the District Election Office Hariprasad Dhakal shared that the collection of voter list has been suspended since Friday after the government announced the date of election to the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly elections.

The elections are being held in a single phase on coming November 20.

As of Thursday, the last day of voter registration, 3,412 women and 3,642 men have been added as new voters.

Likewise, the office said that 360 voters from outside the district have registered their voter list from Tanahun.

During this period, 3,649 voters were added from three registration points at the District Election Office and 3,405 voters from one registration point at the District Administration Office, Tanahun. So far, 244,340 voters have been registered in the district.
