125-member Politburo proposed in Maoist Center



KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has proposed a 125-member politburo.

The proposal was made at a Central Committee meeting held at Pragya Pratisthan, in Kathmandu, on Thursday.

While reading out the names of proposed 125 Politburo members, Prachanda said, “It would have been easier to elect everyone by holding elections. But, we are not in a position to do that now.”

“However, a revolutionary communist party could be formed by forming committees from the fusion of election and evaluation,” he added.

Some of the names read by Prachanda had repeated and in this regard, he said, “The names were finalized by sorting three to four lists, hence repetition.

He added that the Standing Committee would finalize the list and later a a circular would be forward for all.
