IT literacy and skills training kicks off



GANDAKI: The Pokhara University has launched two-week long IT literacy and skill training to local women from Pokhara Metropolis-30.

The Research Centre at Pokhara University is providing the training to 21 homemakers. The objective of the training is to cater IT literacy to the women who are mostly engaged in family works, according to Information Officer at university, Lok Prasad Dhakal.

Online business with the use of mobile, laptop, computer, digital wallet, debit and credit card, e-banking, digital payment via automated teller machine are some contents in the IT literacy training.

The women will also be oriented to the techniques of mobile use and its new dimension. Internet connection and video calls with children and relatives living across the country and abroad, digital payment eg electricity tariff , telephone charge etc are other skills to be taught to the participants.
