UML cadres attack Maoist Center election candidates in Sindhupalchowk



SINDHUPALCHOWK: Cadres of CPN-UML attacked the candidates of a ward chairman and others members during their door-to-door election campaign in Sindhupalchowk district on Friday.

Ward chairman candidate of Indrawati-10 Binod Acharya and other members were attacked when they were asking for votes with the locals at Jholunge in Indrawati rural municipality yesterday.

According to Maoist Center Sindhupalchowk District Chairman Govindad Parajuli, a team led by UML candidate of the same ward Bal Bahadur Maji attacked the election candidates of the Maoist Center.

Issuing a press note, Maoist Center Indrawati Rural Municipality Committee has condemned the attack saying that it has breached the candidate’s right to ask for votes.
