Government recommends names of ambassadors to 20 countries (with list)



KATHMANDU: The government has recommended the names of ambassadors to 20 different countries.

A cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday evening decided to recommend ambassadors to 20 vacant countries.

According to a source, the appointment of ambassadors has been recommended by the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in eight countries and political appointments in 12 countries.

Those who have been recommended as ambassadors will now have a parliamentary hearing.

According to the decision, Bishnu Pukar Shrestha has been recommended as Nepali Ambassador to China.

Similarly, Dan Bahadur Tamang – South Africa; Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal – Spain; Basudev Mishra – Sri Lanka; Milan Tuladhar- Russia; Kailash Pokhrel – Australia; Dilliraj Poudel – Malaysia; Shanta Rijal – Israel; Jyoti Pyakurel – South Korea; Prof. Dr. Ramsuraj Rai Yadav – Denmark, and Navraj Subedi to Saudi Arabia.

Others include Naresh Bikram Dhakal, Ghanshyam Bhandari, Harishchandra Ghimire, Tirtharaj Wagle, Dornath Aryal, Sushilkumar Lamsal, Bharatkumar Regmi, Nirmalraj Kafle, and Durga Bahadur Subedi.
