More than 35,000 receive NOCs in last 3 months

KATHMANDU: More than 35,000 Nepali youths have taken no-objection certificates (NOC) in the last three months.

According to Hari Prasad Niraula, the chief of the NOC section under the Ministry of Education, Kesharmahal, 35,754 Nepali youths have taken NOCs for abroad study.

According to Niraula, 58 Nepalis have taken NOCs for MPhil, and Ph.D., 3,441 for master’s degrees, and 6,094 have taken NOCs for bachelor’s degrees.

Similarly, 8,610 have taken NOCs for diploma courses, 6,604 for language study, and 10,947 have applied for other subjects.

The highest number of Nepali youths have received NOCs for Australia with 23,769 followed by Japan with 6,489, Canada (1,383), UK (611), India (1,348), USA (374), South Korea (440), Thailand (62) have received NOCs.
