Government decides to hold local level elections on May 13



KATHMANDU: The government has finally announced May 13 as the local level election date.

The cabinet meeting  held in Singha Durbar on Monday afternoon finalized the date for the election.

Earlier, the Election Commission (EC) had recommended the government to announce the date of local elections on May 18.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had discussions with CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, and Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, Chairman of the ruling Maoist Center on the issue.
