KATHMANDU: Former chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Kamal Thapa has indicated forming a new political party.

Thapa, who has been demanding investigation over Nirmal Niwas’ interference in the party’s general convention, held a discussion with office bearers, central members and former central members on Monday.

Stating that though he met with incumbent RPP Chair Rajendra Lingden last week, the two did not reach a conclusion, he said he would seek alternatives if his demands were not addressed by the time the local level election is declared.

“If my questions over organizational and ideological aspects of the party are not addressed, I might seek alternatives. I ask you to be ready for such a situation.”

He also urged RPP leaders to support him if he seeks alternatives. “I will not put pressure on anyone. I urge everyone to listen to their inner self,” he said.
