Cabinet meeting likely to announce local level elections date today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the cabinet is scheduled to be held at 3 pm today.

Baluwatar sources said that the meeting is likely to announce the date of the local level election.

Earlier, the Election Commission (EC) had recommended the government to announce the date of local elections on May 18.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had discussions with CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, and Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, Chairman of the ruling Maoist Center on the issue.
