PR category: UML leading followed by NC



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has garnered the highest number of votes under the Proportional Representation category.

According to the Election Commission (EC), the UML has got 28,14,655 votes under the PR system of the HoR as of Tuesday morning.

Similarly, the Nepali Congress, which won the highest number of seats under the first-past-the-post electoral system, obtained 2,688,218 votes followed by the CPN (Maoist Centre) with 1,164,102 votes.

Likewise, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has garnered 1,124,778 votes securing its fourth position in the PR votes.

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party secured 586,816 votes, while the Janata Samajwadi Party 420,954 votes and the Janamat Party 394,538 votes obtaining the minimum votes to become the national political party.

Likewise, the CPN (Unified Socialist) has obtained 296,090 votes and the Nagarik Unmukti Party has 271,674 votes.
