Nepal sees 660 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 660 new cases of coronavirus and one COVID-related death in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 326 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 334 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,682 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,942 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,740 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,641 active cases in the country as 444 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One death due to the coronavirus was recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbs to 11,971 to date.
