Electoral alliance a must for protection of constitution: Dr. Shashank Koirala

CHITWAN: Nepali Congress central committee member Dr Shashank Koirala has said alliance among the ruling coalition parties is necessary for upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and Province Assemblies.

Talking to media persons here today, he shared although the NC can fight alone in the election, it was necessary to forge electoral alliance for the protection of constitution, development and stability of the country.

The NC leader opined, “There is also a coalition government. It will be easier to go for election making alliance.”

He, however, claimed that 100 seats should be allocated for NC in the election if alliance is forged in the elections.

Leader Koirala mentioned that it was necessary to be united to compete with the CPN (UML) in the elections, adding that all political parties would go for this HoR and Province Assemblies elections making electoral alliance with another party.

Meanwhile, NC central committee member Pradeep Poudel pointed out the need of making a roadmap from ticket distribution to making candidates win the elections.
