NEPSE witnesses double-digit growth despite fluctuations

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has risen by double digits on Wednesday amid sharp fluctuations. On Wednesday, the market index rose by 13.33 points to 2043.92.

A total of 627,310 shares of 228 companies were bought and sold 38,008 times bringing the total turnover to Rs 2.1786 billion today.

The share price of Life Insurance Corporation started a positive circuit on Wednesday. CYC Nepal Microfinance, Tehrathum Hydro Power, Civil Bank, Reliance Finance were among the companies whose share prices increased the most.

Share prices of NCC Debentures, Citizens Mutual Fund, Swabhiman Microfinance, and others declined the most. The most traded companies are Gorkha Finance, Life Insurance Corporation, and Civil Bank. All subgroups except mutual funds, non-life, and banking went green Wednesday.
