Light to moderate rainfall likely today



KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecasted that there will be light to moderate rainfall in various parts of the country on Monday.

According to MFD, the eastern part of the country has witnessed a moderate effect of monsoon wind while the western territory has the influence of local wind.

The impact of the weather system has brought general changes in province 1, Bagmati and Gandaki province, and partial changes in the remaining provinces, the Weather Forecasting Division shared.

The changes in weather have caused rain in some areas of province 1, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, the Division added.

Kathmandu valley has also seen changes since early this morning. Light rain is taking place in some parts of the valley.

Minor changes are likely to occur in province 1, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces this afternoon while the remaining provinces will also see partial changes.

Light to moderate rain is likely to occur in province 1, Bagmati province, and Gandaki province whereas some areas of Madhes province will see light to moderate rain with thunderstorms.

As informed, the same weather system will continue in the nighttime.
