HoR holding ministry-wise discussion on budget today



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives is holding a ministry-wise discussion on the budget for the coming fiscal year 2079/080 from today.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, the meeting will be held after 11 am. After the theoretical discussion on the budget, there will be a ministry-wise discussion.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, today’s meeting will discuss the budget of the Ministries of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Youth and Sports, Labor, Employment and Social Security, Forest and Environment, Urban Development, Land, Management, and Women, Children and Senior Citizens.

The Secretariat will provide two days for the ministers to reply after the ministerial-level discussions.

The date of reply by ministers is set for June 9 and 10. The budget will be passed following the response of the ministers.

Finance Minister Janardan Sharma had presented a budget of Rs 1,793 trillion on May 29.
