EC to open voter registration from June 15



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) is opening the voter registration for eligible Nepali citizens from June 15.

The commission is preparing to open the registration for the elections to the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assemblies.

The EC had stopped the voter registration process after the date of the local-level election was declared.

“Discussions have been held on the issue of opening the registration from June 15. The EC is preparing to open the registration so that the voters’ names can be registered from the district where they reside, even if they are living outside the district,” said the EC.
