KATHMANDU: The Nepali stock market, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) which has been closed for two days a week (Friday and Saturday), will be open on Friday from May 20, the first Friday of Jestha.
The Chairman of the Nepal Securities Board Ramesh Kumar Hamal informed on Friday that the NEPSE is preparing to go open on Friday from May 20.
Taking part in a discussion on the capital market organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry on Friday, Hamal shared that the stock market authority is making preparation not to get working days affected by the government’s decision to give holidays on Saturday and Sunday.
The government has decided to grant public holidays on Saturday and Sunday with effect from May 15.
