NC is committed to prosperous Nepal: General Secretary Thapa

KATHMANDU: General Secretary of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the NC is determined to build a prosperous Nepal.

Speaking at a program organized by the Society for Democratic Thinking in Kathmandu on Friday, NC General Secy Thapa claimed that only his party could work for a prosperous Nepal.

“We have the resolution to work for a prosperous Nepal. We also have a plan. This should have been done for 5 years. 5 years have been wasted by the then KP Oli-led government and Nepal Communist Party, we do not want to waste the next 5 years,” he said, adding, “We want to fulfill this resolution for 5 years from 2022.”

General Secretary Thapa promised that the NC members who would win in the local elections this time would not misuse the resources.

He also claimed that CPN-UML Chair Oli, who was unable to work for the people and just worked for a group in a party, has no right to visit homes seeking votes.
