Minister Manange assaults govt official

POKHARA: Youth and Sports Minister of Gandaki Province Deepak Manange has physically assaulted the information official of his own ministry on Tuesday.

According to the ministry source, Minister Manange thrashed Prakash Ojha, the information official at Manange’s ministry, yesterday.

Ojha, who reached the office of the minister with the file, was beaten by Minister Manange.

The source claimed that although Ojha had informed Badri Adhikari, the Main Secretary at the Council of Ministers of Gandaki Province and Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokhrel, the government has not made up any comment on the issue yet.

While inquired about the incident, secretary Adhikari said that he is in Baglung for a security meeting since yesterday and will make formal comment after further study.
