Karki elected chair of National Federation of Entrepreneurs



KATHMANDU: Kumar Karki has been elected the chairperson of Nepal National Federation of Entrepreneurs (NNFE), an umbrella organization of small and medium entrepreneurs of Nepal.

The second general convention of the Federation held on Tuesday evening unanimously elected a 90-member working committee under the leadership of Karki.

Other elected office-bearers of the Federation are Manoj Babu Shrestha (senior vice-chairperson) and Kamal Agrawal (first vice-chairperson). Govinda Karki, Rajendra Babu Shrestha, Deepak Chandra Pradhan, Ram Prasad Neupane, Kusum Maharjan, Mumtal Ansari, Dhirendra Rijal, Shekhar Chandra Rai, Saroj Kumar Shrestha, Giriraj Pokharel, Laxmi Khadka and Ram Prasad Awal (vice-chairpersons).

Likewise, among other elected are Ratna Bahadur Ghimire (general secretary), Ram Kumar Timsina, Badan Kumar Bhandari and Cheda Sherpa (deputy general secretaries), Ganesh Kumar Neupane (treasurer), Rajendra Kumar Prajapati, Anju Chamling Rai and Gorakh Bahadur Thapa (associate treasurer).

The secretaries elected are Homnath Giri, Tek Prasad Dhital, Nawaraj Bhandari, Kishor Kumar Gautam, Tej Prasad Acharya, Himlal Kharel and Nabin Luitel.

A total of 22 associations across the country are affiliated with the Federation that was established in 2073 BS. Newly-elected chairperson of the Federation Karki said over 10,000 members are associated with the Federation.
