Jhapa reports fire from gas leak



JHAPA: A fire has been reported at Bhadrapur Road of Birtamod municipality-4 in Jhapa. A gas leak is blamed for the blaze.

According to Area Police Office, the fire that broke out in a one-storey cemented house with a metal roof of Ramananda Shah destroyed all belongings of the family. The loss details are awaited, police said.

Firefighters from Birtamod, Bhadrapur and Mechinagar municipalities were deployed to douse the fire.

The fire came under control after an hour.
