Damauli fire comes under control

Helicopter used to control fire



DAMAULI: The fire at Damauli Main Chowk in Byas Municipality-4 of Tanahu has come under control after more than three hours efforts.

The fire started that started from the warehouse of Bhupal Hardware at around 10 am had gone wild and damaged nearby houses. The fire brigades from Byas Municipality and Pokhara Metropolitan city worked hard to put out the fire.

Helicopters from Simrik Air were used to control the fire by dropping water from the sky. Minister for  Labor, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha had ordered for the use of helicopter to put out the fire. Minister Shrestha had stationed himself on the Madi river arranging the water.

No casualties have been reported so far, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Yuvraj Khadka.

DSP Khadka informed that the police are investigating further to find out the cause of fire and the damages it caused.
