Minister Shrestha calls Newar community to rise above politics



DAMAULI: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha has stressed on the need for the Newar community to rise above politics and show unity.

He stressed on the need to avoid politics for the benefit of the Newar community.

“Among the Newar community, some are affiliated the Nepali Congress, some with the CPN (UML), the CPN (Maoist Center) and some with the CPN (Unified Socialist). However, Newars must unite for the benefit of their community”, he said.

Referring to his Ministry of Labor, he said the ministry was very challenging and that he was engaged in a campaign to end the distortions and anomalies there.

“I am working to not let the people down. I have tried to include everyone, without looking for political gains,” he added.
