KATHMANDU: The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) has hiked airfares for domestic flights, with effect from today, Sunday.
AOAN announced a new fares for domestic destinations on Saturday after the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) recently increased the price of petroleum products, including aviation fuel.
According to the new fare, mountain flight from Kathmandu has been made dear up to Rs 340. Likewise, airfare for Kathmandu-Bhadrapur is increased by Rs 300, Kathmandu-Biratnagar by Rs 240 and Kathmandu-Dhangadhi by Rs 445.
The new airfare would be effective from today, according to AOAN.
NOC had earlier hiked the price of aviation fuel by Rs 10, making the cost of one liter of aviation fuel Rs 136 against the previous rate of Rs 126.
