Nepal sees 1,386 new coronavirus cases, 11 deaths in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 566 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 1,386 new cases of coronavirus and 11 deaths in the past 24 hours as of Sunday. The number of cases is declining in recent days.

Of the confirmed cases today, 1,183 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 203 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 410 cases in Kathmandu, 32 in Bhaktapur and 124 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 566 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 11 coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,814 to date.

Currently, there are 45,248 active cases in the country as 8,704 infected patients recovered.
