Nepal records 540 new COVID-19 cases, one death in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 310 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 540 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 478 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 62 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 221 persons in Kathmandu, 59 in Lalitpur, and 30 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 310 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry,  one more has succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours taking the coronavirus death toll in the country 11,602 till date.

Meanwhile, 271 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
