Clarification sought from Executive Director Dr Jha



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has directed Executive Director of Ramraja Prasad Singh Institute of Health Sciences Dr Ranjit Kumar Jha to submit clarification within 24 hours.

This instruction was given because Dr Jha was found campaigning for Upendra Yadav, a candidate for the post of member of the House of Representatives from Saptari constituency No. 2.

According to clause (a) of section 7 of the Election Code of Conduct, 2079, Nepal government, provincial government and local level bodies, semi-governmental and public organizations and their employees shall not engage in or promote any political party or candidate.
