Nepal exports coffee worth Rs 106.6 million in 11 months of running fiscal

KATHMANDU: Nepal has exported coffee worth Rs. 106.6 million during the 11 months of the current fiscal year 2021/22.

According to the latest data made public by the Department of Customs, coffee worth Rs 106.6 million was exported from Nepal since July  16, 2021 to June 14, 2022.

According to the department, 62,000 kilograms of coffee was exported from Nepal during the period.

Nepal has exported coffee beans to 16 different countries of the world.

The major coffee exports were to European countries. Germany imported Nepali coffee worth Rs 18.5 million and Switzerland worth Rs 24.3 million in the 11 months of running fiscal.

Similarly, coffee exports to Japan stood highest at Rs 37.3 million.

Beside these, Nepali coffee was also exported to Australia, Austria, Canada, China, USA, UK, Italy, Hong Kong, Norway and South Korea, among others.
