Nine killed in Ramechhap bus accident



RAMECHHAP: Nine passengers died when a bus met with an accident in Ramechhap on Tuesday morning, police said.

Raj Kumar Thing, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office informed that the bus fell about 40 meters from the road at Lubhughat in Khandadevi Rural Municipality-1.

According to him, nine passengers died on the spot when the bus — Ba 3 Kha 8396 – heading toward Kathmandu from Ramechhap, met with an accident.

Twenty-two people were injured in the accident, police said.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the Dhulikhel Hospital.

The cause of the accident has not been ascertained yet.
