PM Deuba dubs differences among coalition partners “normal”

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has claimed minor differences and problems in an alliance are “normal”.

“It’s obvious to have minor differences and problems in an alliance,” PM Deuba said today.

PM Deuba said he is under pressure to patch up differences among the ruling coalition partners.

“I am aware that I have challenges – to thrash out differences within the ruling coalition and even inside the party,” PM Deuba said at a program in the capital on Tuesday.

Speaking at the same program, Nepali Congress Vice President Dhanraj Gurung had earlier expressed dissatisfaction about the differences and dissatisfaction between the parties of the ruling alliance.

Responding to Gurung, Deuba said, “Any problem in a party will be reflected in the ruling alliance. We have to accept it, not run away from problems.”
