Landslide obstructs mid-hill highway

BAGLUNG: The landslide caused by incessant rainfall here has obstructed the Baglung-Ghodabandhe section of the mid-hill highway since last night.

The landslide occurred near Bokse gully, the border of Baglung Municipality and Kathekhola Rural Municipality.

The movement of vehicles on long and short routes has been disrupted. In addition to landslide, big trees have slid onto the road, making it difficult to clear obstruction anytime soon.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Indra Bahadur Rana, informed that efforts were underway to resume the transportation.

Connection to seven local levels in the western belt of the district has been lost due to the road obstruction.

Similarly, the vehicles heading to Rukum and Rolpa are also stranded.

Meanwhile, the Baglung-Kushmishera roadway has also been disrupted due to landslip.

The landslip occurred at Dablyang of Baglung Municipality-10.
