DIG Poudel recommended for APF AIG

KATHMANDU: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Armed Police Force (APF) Narayan Dutta Poudel has been recommended for promotion to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG).

DIG Poudel is the sole official recommended, based on seniority, to the post.

It is to be noted that two posts of AIG remain vacant in APF. The posts remained vacant when APF AIG Raju Aryal was promoted to APF IG and another AIG Ram Sharan Poudel retired.

A meeting of the promotion committee on Wednesday recommended Poudel to be promoted to AIG. The recommendation was made as per the Rule 39 (1)(A) of the APF Police Regulation, 2072 BS.

Dissatisfied DIGs can file complaints at the grievance hearing committee within seven days after promotion as per the Rule 55 of the Regulation.
