Stock market goes down by 46.46 points Tuesday



KATHMANDU: The stock market witnessed the continuation of downtrend and declined by 46.46 points to reach 2452.06 points Tuesday.

A total of 58.41 million shares of 228 companies were traded during on the third trading day of the week, resulting in a turnover of Rs 2.67 billion. This is more than the previous day.

Of the 13 subgroups traded today, the indicators for all subgroups except Hotel and Tourism went red. The hotel and tourism index rose 0.5 percent.

Shares of Rashtra Utthan Microfinance and NESDO Samridhi Microfinance rose by 10 percent on Tuesday. Shares of Jalpa Community Microfinance rose 6.07 percent.

According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, Himalayan Distillery had the highest turnover today. The company had a turnover of Rs 96.79 million.
