MCC’s passed, now the country will take a leap of development: NC Senior leader Poudel

KATHMANDU: Senior Leader of ruling Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has claimed that the country will make a leap forward in development now as the US grant project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) project has been ratified by the parliament.

Commenting on the prospective impact of ratification of the MCC, the NC senior leader said that his party had taken a firm stand to pass the US grant project MCC without any sentiment.

“We are determined that the MCC should be passed and taken forward for the betterment of the nation, for the development of the nation,” he said, adding, “And it has been passed. It has retained the credibility of the government and the nation itself.”

Senior leader Poudel remarked that the political parties who were skeptic about the positive implications of parliamentary ratification of the MCC would soon realize their false claim and laud the wise leadership NC showed in this regard.
