US congratulates Nepal for successful 70 percent vaccination drive against COVID-19

KATHMANDU: The United States has congratulated Nepal for successfully vaccinating 70 percent of the population against COVID-19.

Issuing a press statement on Saturday, the US Embassy in Kathmandu congratulated Nepal on its success in vaccinating 70 percent of Nepal’s adult population.

The United States has been a constant supporter of Nepal’s COVID-19 response since the onset of the epidemic.

The statement has mentioned that the US has provided more than $120 million in financial, material, and service assistance to Nepal, including more than 2.3 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The US embassy has expressed happiness in getting an opportunity to be part of Nepal’s successful vaccination drive against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) had congratulated Nepal for successfully vaccinating 70 percent of adults against COVID 19.
