KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed the authorities concerned to provide proper management and relief to the families of the three people who died due to strong winds in the Terai and the people affected by the snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous districts.
The Home Minister this morning directed Pradip Kumar Koirala, Chief Joint Secretary of the Disaster and Conflict Management Division of the Ministry and the Chief District Officers of two districts in the Tarai, eight districts in the Himalayan region, and an Assistant Chief District Officer to provide immediate relief to those affected by the snow and windstorm.
Similarly, 45-year-old Phulmatiya Devi, wife of Ram Mangal Rai, was killed when a mud house collapsed in Budhimai Municipality-1 of Rautahat on Friday.
The Home Minister directed Chief District Officer of Rautahat Krishna Bahadur Shahi and Superintendent of Police Binod Ghimire to provide necessary relief.
The Home Minister has instructed Koirala to remain vigilant for the relief and other necessary support of those affected by the snowstorm and cold wave in the Himalayan district and Terai even on Saturday.
Similarly, Chief District Officers of various districts have been instructed to get involved in the management of the affected people. RSS
