KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has finalized the investigation into the Baluwatar land scam.

According to sources, more than 300 arrest warrants, including some “high profiles”, have been issued for investigation.

Sources, meanwhile, said that arrest warrants have been issued against Nepali Congress leader and the then Minister for Physical Planning and Works and Congress leader Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar.

Likewise, the Bureau has also issued the warrant against then Chief Commissioner of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority Deep Kumar Basnyat, Chhabiraj Pant, among others.

The Bureau is also preparing to take the investigation report to the district public prosecutor’s office without arresting the “high profile” people.
