Removal of landslide debris begins in Rasuwa



RASUWA: Debris of landslide that blocked the Syafrubsi-Rasuwagadhi road section since last Tuesday is being removed now.

The task of road clearance is taking place with support from local administration. Heavy equipment such as excavators are being used to remove the debris since this morning.

According to Chief District Officer of Rasuwa Nawaraj Jaisi, excavators of Division Road Office and Hydropower Project are being used to clear off the road and resume the traffic operations.

Likewise, security personnel have been mobilized to ensure safe mobility of the pedestrians along the landslide-disrupted road.
Technicians informed that it may take two days to remove the landslide debris since the task demands higher level of precaution and safety measures.

With the disruption of highway, the containers on the way to Nepal from China have been stranded off the road in Timure region.
