President Bhandari to visit Iceland from November 7



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is going to Republic of Iceland on an official visit from November 7.

Bhandari is going to Iceland to participate in the Women Political Leaders, a worldwide network of female politicians.

The event is taking place from November 9-12 in Iceland. Bharat Raj Paudyal, Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), in a discussion held with the stakeholders at the Ministry today, shared that all preparations regarding President Bhandari’s visit to Iceland were completed.

President Bhandari is leading an 18-member delegation, informed Foreign Secretary Paudyal.

Bhandari will receive ‘Women Political Trailblazer Award’ to be conferred on her during her visit.

Furthermore, the Head of State is scheduled to attend some official events during her visit to the European island nation.

President Bhandari will board Qatar Airways’s aircraft on the evening of November 7 and return home on November 12 in the morning.

The stakeholders, including the ministry’s subordinate agencies and security agencies’ representatives, participating in today’s meeting reaffirmed that they will not leave any stone unturned to make the President’s visit a success impeccably.
