KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakashman Singh, who is also the candidate of Kathmandu Constituency 1, has kicked off his election campaign targeting the November 20 election.
He began a door-to-door campaign from Old Baneshwar this morning.
Addressing the program held before the launch of the campaign, Singh argued that the left-democratic alliance had to be formed to complete the remaining tasks of the peace process, strengthen the federal governance system and protect the constitution.
He claimed that the current alliance will bring political stability to the country by strengthening the system as envisioned by the federal democratic inclusive constitution.
The leader has won three consecutive elections from Kathmandu 1.
This time, he is competing with Kiran Paudel of CPN-UML, Rabindra Mishra from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Pukar Bam from Rastriya Swatantra Party, Ramesh Kharel from Nepal Good Governance Party and others.
