Nepal sees 760 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 760 new cases of coronavirus and one COVID-related death in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 494 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 266 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 5,926 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,589 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 3,337 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,602 active cases in the country as 324 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One death due to the coronavirus was recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbs to 11,969 to date.
