14 injured in clash between protesters and police



BAJURA: 14 policemen got injured in a clash that ensued between the protestors and police over the death of 15-year-old Binod Shahi of Panchadewal Binayak-4 in Achham.

A demonstration was held at the district headquarters Mangalsen on Monday demanding justice for Binod.

Police said that six of the injured personnel are in serious condition, according to the police inspector, Kailash Bista. The police fired 24 tear gas shells to control the protesters.

Binod who went missing was found dead later. Police have already arrested five people in connection with the case.

According to Narayan Dangi, Deputy Superintendent of Police, a search is on to nab the remaining seven accused in the case.

The family and relatives of Binod had filed a FIR against 13 people including the newly elected mayor of Panchadewal municipality Ambika Chalaune.
