PM Deuba shuffles cabinet replacing three JSP Ministers



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has replaced three ministers representing the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) in the cabinet in line with the latter’s request for the same.

Istiyak Rai has replaced Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Renu Kumari Yadav, Mrigendra Kumar Singh replaced Ramsahay Prasad Yadav as Minister for Forest and Environment and Pradip Kumar Yadav has become the new Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development in place of Mahindra Raya Yadav.

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, on recommendation of the cabinet, appointed the new Ministers this (Monday) afternoon.

Earlier on Sunday evening, JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav handed over the names of three new ministers to PM Deuba.

The newly appointed Ministers are being sworn in at 4 pm later today.

In the past week, the CPN Unified Socialist had also sent new Ministers to the government.

Prime Minister Deuba has shuffled the cabinet for the sixth time within a year.
